SC Highway 41 Roadway Improvements Public Meeting & Hearing

SCDES is seeking input on the proposed application from Charleston County to disturb 76.9 acres of land to facilitate a roadway improvement project. This project includes approximately 5.6 miles of roadway improvements on SC-41 from US-17 to Clements Ferry Rd. The proposed project also includes improvements to the intersection of SC-41 and US-17, the extension of Winnowing Way to SC-41, a 1.3 mile new location roadway, Laurel Hill Parkway, between SC- 41 and Park West Blvd. with a connection to
Bessemer Rd. by extending Dumont Rd., and a new entrance for the Rivertowne Place shopping center off of SC-41. Additional roads associated with roadways improvements with this project include Porchers Bluff Rd., Dunes West Blvd., Bessemer Rd., Bennett Charles Rd., Gregorie Ferry Rd., Joe Rouse Rd. and Brickyard Pkwy.

An informational public meeting to share information and answer questions will begin at 6 pm and will be followed by a formal public hearing beginning at 7 pm.
