Renee Shealy serves as Assistant to the Deputy Director for the Office of Environmental Programs for SCDES.

She began her career with the former DHEC in 1987 in the Columbia regional office water program. She has worked as an enforcement officer in the Bureau of Land and Waste Management, and in the Bureau of Air Quality as a director and assistant bureau chief. In 2012, Renee became the Chief of the former Bureau of Environmental Health Services for DHEC/SCDES. Renee is a graduate of Francis Marion University and previously worked as an Associate Planner with the Central Midlands Council of Governments.
