Travis Fuss is the Chief of the Bureau of Regional and Laboratory Services. He previously served as the Regional Environmental Director for DHEC/SCDES, providing oversight and technical support to the Aiken, Greenwood, and Orangeburg offices for nearly 10 years. He is a service-driven professional dedicated to environmental protection and the citizens of South Carolina.
He began his DHEC/SCDES career 22 years ago in the Aiken office as a Drinking Water inspector, and since then, has gained valuable programmatic experience in Air Quality, Wastewater, Stormwater, Hazardous Waste, and Environmental Response.
Travis is a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having spent four years as a Hospital Corpsman with the Marines. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland.
