Gasoline Dispensing Facilities
A Gasoline Dispensing Facility (GDF) is any stationary facility which dispenses gasoline into the fuel tank of a motor vehicle, motor vehicle engine, nonroad vehicle, or nonroad engine, including a nonroad vehicle or nonroad engine used solely for competition. These facilities include, but are not limited to, facilities that dispense gasoline into on- and off-road, street, or highway motor vehicles, lawn equipment, boats, test engines, landscaping equipment, generators, pumps, and other gasoline-fueled engines and equipment. A GDF may be eligible for coverage under the registration permit if the facility meets the criteria listed below.
Criteria
Registration Permit
- The monthly throughput is at least 320,000 gallons of gasoline and no more than 40,000,000 gallons per year.
- No facility covered under this permit shall be major for, or require a synthetic minor limit to avoid, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), Nonattainment New Source Review (NA NSR), 112, and/or Title V.

Applications/Forms
*If operations, normally covered by construction permits, are located in one of the eight coastal counties of the Coastal Zone under SCDES Bureau of Coastal Managment's jurisdiction (Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Georgetown, Horry and Jasper), then a coastal zone consistency certification may be required.
