Email Outage: Sept. 6 - 9

The South Carolina Department of Environmental Services will be migrating email services and staff will be unable to send or receive messages from 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6 until 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9. Phone calls and text messages will not be interrupted during the email outage. Permitted Activities - Failure to get a Construction Permit prior to beginning construction of a public swimming pool/spa will result in a violation.

Failure to get Operational Approval (including a piping inspection before completion of construction) prior to beginning operation of a public swimming pool/spa will result in a violation.

Failure to get a Change Order Permit prior to making any modifications to an existing public swimming pool/spa will result in a violation.

General Operation/Maintenance - Failure to operate and maintain a public swimming pool or spa in accordance with the Regulations for Public Swimming Pools will result in violation(s). These deficiencies are normally identified through a SCDES Public Swimming Pool Inspection.
