Sean brings key experience and leadership to our SCDES team with 13 years of service in DHEC's Environmental Affairs' (EA) programs and 4 years in EA Administration. He began his DHEC career in 2007 as part of OCRM's Compliance and Enforcement (C&E) Section and later assumed the role of manager of the C&E Section. Sean then took on the task of leading the ePermitting team and project where his team was able to implement 19 programs over the course of 4 years. From there, Sean's responsibilities continued to increase with his most recent prior position being the director of digital and financial strategy.

Throughout his tenure with DHEC, Sean has been a champion of leveraging available technology to improve communication, collaboration, and efficiency.  

Sean is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in marine science. He is also a Clemson University Master Naturalist, FAA Certificated Remote & Student Pilot, and a Project Management Professional certification candidate.
