Adam serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES). In this role, he leads the Office of Human Resources, which manages the agency’s employee relations and performance management, benefits program, employee safety programs, HR operations, recruitment and retention, payroll, and staff training and development.

Prior to joining the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control in 2022 as the assistant human resources director, he served in various roles in state government focused on human resources and payroll at both the agency and central state government level. He brings with him to the position over 18 years of state government experience.  

He holds a Finance and Marketing degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C
