Henry Porter has served as the Chief of the Bureau of Land and Waste Management for the former DHEC since September 2018.

In total, he has more than 35 years of service with DHEC, during which he worked in multiple environmental program areas, including Air Quality, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and Radioactive Waste and Wastewater. Henry has a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Carolina.
