Below you will find a list of applications and supporting information received by S.C. Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) for the proposed Vulcan Project.

On Nov. 12, 2015, SCDES's Bureau of Land and Waste Management (BLWM) received an application for an Individual Mine Operating Permit. The public comment period for the mine application will extend, at a minimum, into May 31, 2016.

RDA Mine Quarry

RDA, LLC requested environmental permits from the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) to construct and operate a proposed limestone quarry off of Seaboard Road in Williamsburg County, approximately five (5) miles northwest of Andrews, SC.  The Mine Operating Permit and the Air Quality Construction Permit were issued on March 25, 2019. The notice of approval memorandum, the issued permits, and responsiveness summaries are located here for viewing and downloading.
