Overview

In February 2024, the Broad River Basin Plan was completed by the Broad River Basin Council under the guidance of the South Carolina State Water Planning Framework. Formal council meetings began in March 2022, and the council met on a monthly basis over a year and a half period to work on the plan. The River Basin Plan includes a review of surface water availability over a 50-year planning horizon and documents water management strategies that will help ensure water is available for all future uses.
