SCDNR Drills New Well for Groundwater Monitoring Network

A new monitoring well has been drilled at 8 Oaks Park near the City of Georgetown, SC. The well is 845 feet deep and screened in the McQueen Branch aquifer. It will be instrumented with an automated water-level recorder and will be added to the SCDNR Groundwater Monitoring Network, a network of wells used to assess groundwater availability in the State.
