March 29, 2023 A new monitoring well has been drilled at 8 Oaks Park near the City of Georgetown, SC. The well is 845 feet deep and screened in the McQueen Branch aquifer. It will be instrumented with an automated water-level recorder and will be added to the, SCDNR Groundwater Monitoring Network, , a network of wells used to assess groundwater availability in the State.
