Kane Island Community Dock - Critical Area Permit Application Public Hearing

SCDES BCM has scheduled an in-person public hearing on the proposed Kane Island Development, LLC project on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 6:00 PM. The public hearing will be held at Beaufort City Hall located at 1911 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902.

During the public hearing, SCDES BCM staff will provide a brief summary of the proposed application and accept verbal comments for the record to be considered prior to making a final decision. This hearing is designed so that SCDES BCM staff can gather comments as to the merits of the project and consider all information when making a decision based on the Coastal Tidelands and Wetlands Act, Department regulations, and policies. 

Anyone who plans to attend and/or participate in the public hearing can complete the registration form prior to Oct. 28, 2026.
