Richland County Landfill Inc. is an existing municipal solid waste (MSW) landfill. Notice of Comment Period Extension: This public notice was originally posted beginning on May 15, 2024 through June 13, 2024. During this public notice period the Department received requests to hold a public hearing. Because of these requests the public comment period has been extended to July 31, 2024 to allow the public further time for review and to schedule a public hearing and meeting.
SCDES will hold a public meeting on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. to answer questions on the proposed project. A public hearing will follow at 7:00 P.M. to accept written and verbal comments on the proposed project. The meeting and hearing will be held at R2i2 Conference Center, 763 Fashion Drive, Columbia SC 29229.
