The SCDES-Bureau of Coastal Management has scheduled a public hearing for a critical area permit application submitted by Joseph Rose for a private recreational dock located on and adjacent to Leadenwah Creek at 1544 Tackey Point Road, Wadmalaw, Charleston County, South Carolina (TMS: 156-00-00-078). The applicant has requested to construct a 4’ x 556’ walkway to a 20’ x 20’ covered fixed pierhead. Install a 12’ x 12’ 4-pile boat lift on the ebb side of the pierhead accessed by a new 3’ x 43’ catwalk. Install a new 3’ x 20’ ramp on the flood side of the pierhead leading to a new 8’ x 25’ floating dock with a 8.3’ x 16.66’ floating boat storage structure. The applicant's stated purpose is for private recreational use.
This in-person public hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 13th at 6:00 PM at the Wadmalaw Island Community Center located at 5605 Katy Hill Road, Wadmalaw Island, SC 29487.
All interested persons are urged to attend and voice their comments, but no direct questioning will be allowed.
